Shorting of Oil was modeled here! Insights from Analytics

From a Sunday afternoon conversation with a banker and decided to tweet after that.

Here is a tweet on connecting seemingly disconnected data into insights from analytics. A framework I’ve developed over a long time.  Was advising a few investment folks of the opportunity to short an asset class. Compute the data if you made the investment on a trade. This is the power of insight from analytics via unstructured data.

If you were a commodity trader, a company dependent on oil futures, an investor or a producer, these insights are potentially worth billions. Every $0.10 cents matters. This is a proprietary framework.

Why is insights from seemingly disconnected data produce analytics and then insights that HUMINT can model, interpret and action next steps on. This could be the only way to stay ahead of the game from commodity trading and ecommerce to governance and national security.  The IARPA project is a great example of that.

Bottomline. Big Data is traffic flow and density. The key is the insights from analytics via omni-channel unstructured data streams. That is ROI.
